Special Holiday Food Delivery Saturday, December 12 Join us on December 12 when volunteers will fan out to make a special holiday food delivery to senior citizens who participate in our food program. Volunteers will gather at 8 a.m. at our Central Warehouse, 6500 East Davison, Detroit, to finish packing boxes of food and set out to deliver them. The holiday food boxes are in addition to the box of nutritionally-balanced food that low income seniors get each month. The special delivery is made possible by numerous food drives conducted by churches, schools and businesses each year. Seniors will be selected at random from the nearly 1,000 homebound seniors on our program. Arrangements will be made in advance to assure that the seniors are aware of the delivery. If you want to join in the delivery -- or collect food donations -- please contact Darryl at 313.494.4401. Focus: HOPE is a nationally recognized civil and human rights organization in Detroit, Michigan. Our mission is to use intelligent and practical action to fight racism, poverty, and injustice.
